L1 Visa

Hi,

I am currently working in US on L1 Visa thru Company "A". Now I am planning to file a fresh H1B petition in April 2009 thru Company “B”.

I have a question…… as soon as I get H1 petition approval thru Company "B", is it true that my L1 visa will be invalidated automatically ? Or is it that my L1 visa will be invalidated/cancelled only if I get the H1B stamped?

You will not be on L1 status once your H1 is approved.
