Can a Person Transfer L1 Visa

Hi,

I am in a company A in india,whose parent company is Company B in USA. But both the companies are two different entities. I have a L1 B visa from company A and am working on a project for company B in US for last one year. Can I transfer my L1B visa to company B as both are two different entities of the same big company? Please do let me know.. Thanks,

There is nothing called as L1B transfer. Sister companies are usually ingredients of fraudelent activities, beware. Have you been working and getting paid from the emplyer whose name appears on your visa and petition? if not you can be in trouble.

I have been getting my salary from the company whose name is on my visa.. Thats not an issue.. and the company i am talkin abt is a IT giant. I am talking if the L1 Transfer from a company in india to the same company in US is possible.

Does the L1 to H1 transfer comes under the H1 B cap and must be applied on April 1st.. or is it possible to transfer L1 to H1 at any time.

---Not possible legally. Giant company has to apply fresh L1.

---There is no such concept like L1-H1 transfer except COS L1-H1.But for that you need to apply for H1 this year. If it gets approved , you can apply for L1-H1 COS or directly go for H1 stamping.

----There is no such thing exists. L1 CANNOT be transferred. L1 visa is bound to petitioner and its us subsidiary. You can change project/project location with same petitioner but you CANNOT change employer.
