Hello, I along with my wife appeared for the L1/L2 visa interview on 23 feb and I received my passport stamped L1 but my wifes passport was given back along with a pink slip stating visa pending administrative process. My wife is doing her phd in medicinal chemistry here in India. The case number is still under pending process, can anyone help me in understanding how long will this take and is there any problem with this since it is more than 6 weeks now.

---- If your wife has indicated her Ed. Qlns and highlighted them on the application, she may be in for TAL check and that's why the pink slip. What exactly does the pink slip say. Can you share witht the forum. However, it takes quite a while to get a visa in such cases. Normal time is 4-6 months

thanks for the response, in the pink slip they just marked the point which says detailed resume, which we sent via email after our interview on feb 23. Could you please tell me what TAL process is and do we have to do anything from our side.
---- TAL is a Technology Alert List. If you google you can find all the details. There are many subjects that are listed in this list that includes all research areas and high technology funded development activities.
---- They might have asked for the detailed resume to eliminate these technology areas and avoid any conflicts (as defined by them)
---- You do not have to do anything from your side, other than awaiting a response from them. Occasionally send them an email requesting an update on your case
