Hi, am getting married to my US girlfriend in a few weeks. My L1 visa expires in June. We will be submitting the I-130 and I-485 forms as soon as possible after we are married. What happens to my visa status come June. Do I stay legal after June, even after my L1 has expired? Will I need to depart the US before my L1 visa expires, and wait for our I-130 and I-485 to go through the system?
