Hubby on L1 can he enter visa 2 weeks before visa expiry

Hello all,
My husband is on L1 visa and I am on L2.
My husband is going to India for 1 mnth due to some inevitable at his residence.
Both our visas are expiring in June 2009
Can he come back to take me back two weeks before the visa is going to expire?

Someone mentioned that to enter US you need to have visa for minimum 6 mnths.

Is it true?

Not true. Can enter any date before visa expiration. I-94 will only be given till that date unless a newly approved I797 is produced at POE.
