EAD renewal..help!!

I m in L2 visa that expired in dec 2008.My husbands employer FINALLY filed for an extension in March'09!! My I-94 and EAD expires in June and July 09 respectively!! I still havent filed for renewal of EAD as they said I cannot file for both concurrently due to my expired L2 status.
Anyone with the same problem? Please help! Should I wait for L2 approval as takes 90 days or should I take chance and file for an EAD extn ??(although all I have is the EAC no for L2 extn)I dont want to lose my job cos it seems like i will have to wait +90 days for everything!!
Somebody please help me and save me!!

PP the L1 extension or you could have applied concurrently along with the L1 extension. Once you get a receipt, try to apply for EAD.

These days, EAD approvals are fast. My friends recently got it approved in less than a month from NSC.
