Interview in this month end - L1 blanket

Hi,

My organisation will get me a slot for L1 blanket in this month end.

Earlier my organisation was in confusion whether i am eligible for blanket or not. I am graduate engineer with specialization - electronics & control.
So they applied for L1 individual and petition for that was rejected . Same we were expecting as i was having 1.5 yrs. of experience that time but 2+ now.

Could you please clarify below points -

1) Does it matter at all in which stream a candidate has done graduation.
If yes..will my branch - electronics & control make any -ve impact?
2) My petition for L1 indiv. was rejected 6 months back.
So i think they can question me why didn't you apply for blanket earlier.
Please let me know what to say.

I would be glad if you give me any suggestions.
