  • I94 expires soon.L1A conversion filed-can i file Form I-539

    All,

My current I94 will be expiring on 29th Apr.
My employer has already filed the L1A conversion (Current Visa is L1B individual)

    My question
    1. Can I file Form I-539 which is for an extension of stay?
Purpose of doing this is - I (My employer) will get the buffer time to respond RFE's if any OR to withdraw and resubmit the petition again.
    2. Is there any specific reason like "Why I should not file Form I-539"
    3. Is there any time line for this? (Should I apply this before my I94 expires?)

    Thanks
    SP.
