Regdn L2 stamping- please help

Hi

My husband had applied for his L2 visa (COS from L1) and has got the approval notice for the same. As he's already in US, we understand that the L2 stamping needs to be done only if he has to go out of US and re enter.
We are planning on a trip to Canada and if he has to come along, he has to get his visa stamped. Else he wont be allowed to come back to US.
Is it possible for him to get the stamping in US itself?

Are you kidding with this question. U.S. embassies are located outside the country.

Well was just curious coz we're new here.. we were wonderin if we could get a stamping done at the US consulate here.

You husband can get stamping from Mexico, Canada or Bahamas.
