L2 Visa Steps

Hi Experts,

I have a few questions on L2 visa. I recently entered to USA on L2 Visa. I am planning to work in USA. for that I came to know that I have to apply for EDA or EDP. To apply for that what are the steps I have to take care and how I have to apply.

Before aplying EDP or EDA, do I have to apply SSN or after getting the approval only do I have to apply.

Can you please guide me on this.
