  • L2 extension rejected and travel back 2 weeks later

    Hello,

My wife's L2 visa extension rejected on May 18th because my L1 extension rejected. Her visa expired on may 17th. We received the denial notice on May 28th and she left yesterday.
So in this case she left US 2 weeks after her visa is expired.

Will this have any problems in her future Visa processing or ReEntry ?

    Thanks for your valuable insight

Even though she accumulated a little illegal stay, it should not be an issue.
She should mention this in her DS156 and explain the situation to Visa officer if asked.

    >>because my L1 extension rejected.

Where are you? are you having any other valid visa(petition) with you?

then I believe you can ask your employer to reapply as a new petition while you are here instead of leaving.
