Dependent Parent
I might need to travel on a non-immigrant L1 visa to the USA for a period of one year. I am told that only spouse and children qualify as dependents and eligible for dependent visa. My mother also stays with us and would need to travel too. Can anybody suggest which visa category shall we seek for her so that she too can stay with me for the entire span of the project.
I know that one option is to use her B1/B2 visitor visa which she can leverage to stay for 6 months. This however would need her to travel back to India and then come back again after staying for sometime. It is thus not a feasible solution as my company would not pay for the travel cost.
Are there any other options that any one can suggest?
