Two L1 active petitions

Please guide me in this matter.

I work in an Indian IT company. In 2008 I intiated an L1B Individual petition. When the petiton was filed in USCIS it got RFE. My company's immigration team told me that the success rate after RFE is very low so they will withdraw my L1B Individual petition. They asked me to intiate L1B Blanket petition.

This year in January I initiated an L1B Blanket petition. I went for interview to US consulate and got a pink sheet under 221(g). When I filled the form for L1B Blanket I mentioned that I have never applied for US visa before, because as per Immigration team if the petition is withdrawn after RFE there is no need to mention it in the next application.

Few weeks after that I got mail from Immigration team that my L1B Individual also got approved. Actually there was some miscommunication and they never withdrew my petition from USCIS. Now I have two active petitions on my name, one approved and second pending under 221(g).

My questions are:
- Can it have -ve impact on my name in USCIS? Immigration team says it is not illegal to have two petitions, although it is not the good thing to do.
- The Immigration team has asked me to wait and watch, and the next step will be taken after we get the update on pink sheet. Is this the best startegy or we should tell consulate about this mistake?

Of course, you never had visa. It's only petitions. It should be fine. But thru your company's immigration dept., let USCIS know it.
