got pink sheet 221(g)

hi,

I applied for L1B blanket through my company. I went for personal interview to US Consulate Chennai last month. I got pink sheet under 221(g). The consulate kept all my documents and returned the passport and original degree certificates. The pink sheet says I have to check the status of my petition on website, if the status doesn't change in 3 months then I can send a mail.

- Is it normal to return the passport to individual in 221(g) pink sheet cases? I read somewhere that for some people Consulate kept the passport.
- How much time does it take for pink sheet to clear?
- I have heard that it in certain cases it may take 6 to 8 months, is it right?

You just have to wait it out as the time depends on each individual case and there is no correlation between someother case and it's processing time vs yours.
