this is for my friend who is on L1B expiring Oct 31st 2009
She got extension approved and now she wants to visit India in second week of October and come back to US before Oct 31st 2009.

1. Does she need stamping if she is coming before her visa expiry? or she can come on un-expired visa + approved l1b extension. ?

But there are 2 different questions so can you please answer both separately?

2. No one can enter US with an expired visa. Donno how 1 and 2 are different. She has to present an unexpired visa plus a valid petition to get the I-94 issued till the date of the valid petition in the absence of which the I-94 will be given till the visa validity date.
