L1-H1 questions

Hi,
Currently I am staying in USA on L1B visa. My L1B is maxing out by Jan 2010. My company has applied H1B this year and got approved.
My questions are:
1) Do I need to go for stamping on H1B before Jan 2010? Or can I continue to stay after Jan 2010 with H1B approval notice?

2) Do I have to stay only one more year on new H1B?(Because my six continuous years are going to complete.)

3) If I have to leave after a year? Can I come on same H1B or Do I need to apply new H1B again?

1. Ask your employer as it depends on how the H1b was approved. If it was a COS, you will be on H1b from Oct 1st. Make sure if you have a L2, a COS is approved to H4 in that case.
