Hi All,
I am in the US on an L2 visa and had applied for EAD work authorization based on the L2. However, for personal reasons, I want to work on an H-1 rather than an EAD.
In the meantime, earlier this year, a company agreed to file my H1-b petition which just got approved last week. They have applied for a COS from L2 to H1.
My questions are as follows is as follows:
1. Does my new H1 status invalidate my L2-EAD application?
2. Do I need to withdraw my L2-EAD application?
3. If I revert back to L2 status, will I need to apply for EAD again?
I'd really like to hear from you if you have faced this situation or can throw some light on the situation.
