I got 221(g) white form from hyderabad consulate

Hi

I got 221(g) white form from hyderabad consulate. I had all proper doc's even though VO asked me to send some questionaries221(g). i sent that. how long does it take to complete the entire process. my passport is with consulate only.

Please help me if any one know about this.

I think, there is no fixed time for this processing. Please browse trough some discussions on this topic in this forum to get an approximate estimate.

BTW...may i ask what caused this to happen.

It'll be great if you can share your experience......i have an appointment coming up in few weeks at hyd, any insight is highly appreciated.

Hi all. Today I appeared for L1 Blanket visa in hyderabad consulate. After asking two questions, the female VO has given me a pink sheet which says....Administrative process pending. My passport is at consulate only. I dont understand what my mistake was. can any one please tell me what could be the reason an applicant gets pink sheet. in the posts i saw that one of our frend got white 221g form.

Administrative processing doesn't mean that you did some mistake. There could be many reasons for the administrative processing. For example, someone with a name close to yours did something and they need to make sure that he/she is not the one who is applying for the visa to enter U.S. It generally has nothing to do with the applicant, but the US wants to protect itself from any problem no matter big or small.

What is the fastest time one has got visa after getting 221g form for administrative processing?

2-3 weeks to a maximum or 1.5 years, as of I know.

L-1B VISA got approved after 221(g) at hyderabad

Hi All,

My VISA L-1B got approved after 28 days from the date I responded to 221G questionnaires. Please find my below details.

Date of Interview : 26th Oct 2009
U.S Embassy : Hyderabad.
VISA Type : L-1B
Form :221(g) white with 14 questionnaires
Reply Questionnaires : 28th Oct 2009
Case ID updated on PDF : After one week
VISA approved :24th Nov 2009 (I did not get any mail or call from embassy. Called embassy and conformed the same. It doesn’t matter if we call every day and ask the status. I used to call twice in a week).
Case ID removed from PDF :24th Nov 2009 (totally 28 days i.e 20 working day).
Passport Status : Waiting for PP.

Note: When I called U.S Embassy on 22nd Nov 2009 they said I my status is “Administrative Process”. Called again on 23rd Nov 2009 and they said administrative process is completed and current status is “Automated Processing” ,asked me to call on next day(24th nov 2009). Got + response on 24th nov 2009 like my VISA has been issued.

I hope this helps.

All will get VISA definitely if you respond with proper questionnaires .only time delay is the matters. People please respond your case to this forum after you get VISA or response from embassy. This will be a great help to others who are looking for clarification.

In my case the Case ID is updated in the PDF after 2 weeks of sending the questionnaire reply. Does it mean they have started processing only after 2 weeks?

Hi All,

I had given L1 B interview on Nov1 and got 221g. My Employer sent the mail along with answers to the questionnaire next week but till now my case id I dont find my case id in the status pdf.

what does that mean? I m not able to figure it out.. hoping for the best.
