  • Working on L1 and H1 visas concurrently

I am currently working in US on a L1 Visa with employer A. My H1 visa with employer B is approved. Question is can I work for both employers simultaniously, I mean multiple jobs.

You can't be in L1 and H1B status at the same time. Is your H1B a COS from L1 (Did it come with a valid I-94)? If so, your employment with the L1 employer is illegal from date of COS. If your H1B is a consular processing, the you can continue to work with the L1 employer. But you cannot work for the H1B employer until you get the visa stamped and re-enter U.S in H1B or file an amendment and get it approved (To convert the H1B from consular processing to COS).

An individual can only hold ONE status at a given time.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
