  • L2 dependent visa for working wife as a government servant in India.

    Hi,

I am in USA on L1B Blanket visa. My wife and and son is in India. I want to apply the L2 depenedent visa for my wife and kid. My wife is a government servant in India.

For appling L2 visa - Do my wife need to leave the job from there or how this will work?

    Thanks a lot in advance!!!

No need to quit job in India.
To apply for L2, refer to https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visas/l1/l2docs.html

Your wife need to get a NOC (No objection certificate) from the indian government before applying for the visa (Some say that it is required only before the actual travel). NOC is not a requirement for the visa (U.S consulate doesn't care about it). However, it is a mandate from the indian government.
