How to apply for L2 Visa ...please Urgent

Hello Immi Experts,

I am in serious trouble here....My H1B has been cancelled by my company...recently

My wife is on L1B and currently working ...Could you all please tell me the procedure to file a petition for L2 visa.

Are you in U.S now? If yes, then you don't need a visa. You need to apply for the change of status to L2 (Form I-539). Check the below link.

If you are in India now, then you need to go for the L2 visa stamping (If you don't already have a valid L2 stamped in your passport)

Hello Experts,

I read about L2 visa online and I decided that the best way to go about it is to go to US COnsulate in Canada and get it stamped .

I have one question... I changed my status from H1 to F1 student visa., Does US COnsulate in Canada allows candidates for visa processing if they have changed their status in US or do I have to go to India for stamping.
