L1B extension and L2 visa

Hi, First of all thanks a lot for providing such a remarkable help to so may people.

I got my I94 extension approved for 2 years . Now I am planning to go india for my marriage after 6 months. What should be my step to come back to US ?

i) Do I need to apply for a fresh L1B visa ?
ii) or is there something called renewal of L1B visa ?
iii) If I just need to renew the L1B visa showing my approved petition notice for the extension , what is the possibility for my new stamping ?
iv) Should I apply L2 visa for my would be only after my new visa get stamped ? Can I apply L2 for my would be even before we get married ?

>>> You need to get a fresh L1B visa only if your current L1B visa is your passport has expired or will be expired by the time you return back. However, it is advisable to get it stamped if your current visa is about to get expired.


ii) or is there something called renewal of L1B visa ?
>>> You need to follow the same procedure that you followed the 1st time to get your visa stamped. You can call it renewal or new, the process is the same.


iii) If I just need to renew the L1B visa showing my approved petition notice for the extension , what is the possibility for my new stamping ?
>>>> This is hard to predict. If you have all the required documents, then the possibility of a successful stamping is high. Check the L1/L2 visa document list in immihelp.


iv) Should I apply L2 visa for my would be only after my new visa get stamped ?
>>>> Not necessary. As long as a you have a valid petition, she can go for the L2 stamping. If you are going for L1 stamping, then it is advisable to take her with you for her L2 visa.


Can I apply L2 for my would be even before we get married ?
>>>> No. You need to be married and they will ask for the marriage certificate.
