L1 Visa and I-94

My L1B visa expires on Feb 2010, but my I-94 and petition (I129) is valid upto March 2011. If my project continues in US after Feb 2010, do i need to go for Visa extension before Feb 2010 or not required?

Please let me know on this.

Visa is just an entry document to U.S. When you are inside U.S, the I-94 is the one that counts. You can work until your current L1B I-94 expiry date. To work beyond that, you will need to file for an L1B extension.
