Visa on Hold

I went for L1 visa to chennai. The consulate put my application on hold and told that he will get back to me after contacting my employer. I Came to know that he has contacted my employer and got all the details. In these cases how much time consulate people take to get back to me?

It is impossible to predict this. Any case that goes into admin processing will take it's own course of time. The only thing that you can do is to wait patiently for the consulate to return your stamped passport.
