L2 visa procedures and premium processing

Hi,
My boyfriend and I are currently working in California. I worked as an intern in a company and have a J1 trainee visa. My boyfriend has a L1 visa. We are thinking about getting married so I could stay with him when my J1 expires.
I know that I would then be able to work with a L2. But I still ignore many things about L2 visa.
What is the procedure to get the L2 and the work authorization? I may have a job offer pretty soon. Could my potential employer ask for a premium processing to accelerate the procedure to obtain the work authorization?

Sorry, I want to correct a misprint (work instead of worked) that appears in my Thread. I am still working as an intern and will need the L2 with the work authorization as soon as I finish my internship which will come pretty soon...
