  • Arts Graduate...will I get L1?.

    Hi ,

    I am an arts gratuate and done my NIIT. I have work exp of around 14 yrs and in current company around 5.5 Yrs. Will I get my L1 approved?.

    Yes, of course.
    Education is not a constraint. It's the special skills that matters.

      But what would qualify as speacial skill?....it is only Tech skills such as Java, SAP, etc?....or would Project management, Process assuarance etc also qualify?.

          did you find some time to read this paragraph in the link that was sent?
          Your employer will know if it's specialized skill. why do you bother?


          Specialized Knowledge Staff: Person should have knowledge of the company's products/services, research, systems, proprietary techniques, management, or procedures. Knowledge which is widely held or related to common practices or techniques and which is readily available in the United States job market is not specialized for purposes of L classification. The level of knowledge required and the employment of the specific alien must directly relateto the proprietary interest of the petitioner. To be proprietary, the knowledge must relate to something which relates exclusively to the petitioner's business. Persons whose general knowledge and expertise enable them to merely produce a product or provide a service are not eligible for this visa.
