Leaving US immedietly after applying for SSN

I am on L1 visa and i am leaving US after stay of 3 weeks but not yet applied for SSN. Can i leave US after applying for SSN but before receiving it. And authorize someone to receive my SSN.
Will it impact when reapplying for L1 visa?
