How long will it take if i apply for my L1 extension.

Hi,
I have L1B visa and and is valid till 10th April 2010(46 days for expiry from today). If i apply for renewal today, how long will it take to get the L1 extension. Please advise.

2-3 months by normal process and 15 days by premium.

If i have to go back to India in between this time, will i be allowed to travel? Please advise..

Not advisable to travel when the extension is in progress. The extension of stay (approval with new I-94) might get denied.

My wife who is on L2 is in India and she delivered a baby boy( in India).
can i apply for my son's visa or do i have to wait till i get mine?

Your visa doesn't matter. What is important is your valid petition. The L2 visa will be issues based on the validity of the L1 petition. So it is advisable to apply for the dependent visa after your get the L1 extension.
