Fraud Prevention & Detection Fees

I have an appointment for L1 blanket visa interview in Chennai. I understand, I need to pay $500 at the time of interview for fraud prevention and detection fees. Is it necessary to pay this fees by DD? Or they also accept cash (INR/UDS) or Indian credit card?

If they accept cash/CC, does it make any difference to paying it by DD?

Anyone recently been through the process in Chennai, please help.

First time we paid it via DD. During renewal, we paid it through credit card. Also carried INR cash as a backup.

I used credit card payment, instead of DD from the first time. I think it's much more convenient and take less time. It is very important area to be covered, because Fraud Prevention and Detection is very important nowadays, especially in Chennai. It's better to pay $500 and be protected, than assume the risk you can lose much more.
