L1 visa extension during role change

Hi,
I am currently on L1A individual visa which will expire on November 26, 2019. I am planning to move to another role (can be at a different location) in the same organization. I am about to request filing for the extension of L1A visa with my employer - but before filing extension, I wanted to check what my available options are as far as L extension is concerned if the new role is not a managerial role.

Also how will it affect my spouse's L2 visa? Many thanks for any advice.

If the new role is not a managerial role, then it will void your existing L1A visa & you wont be able to get your extension approved.
