Do I need have an L2 extension?

My husband I94(L2 status) is valid until 2022. She entered U.S. with a valid visa which is marked a PED of this Aug. My last I-129S(L1) expires on this Aug, but This month I have gotten a renewed I-129S (L1) that is valid until 2021 Apr.
As the above situation, do I need to submit an L2 extension before Aug. Or I think the L2 status is well maintained with the new I-129, so the extension is not necessary?

if your Husband's I94 is valid until 2022, then she can stay until that time. Ensure that you too are maintaining the primary L1 status till the same time.
