L1A Individual Visa Stamping - With Approval Notice

Hi Friends – Thanks for all your excellent inputs and experiences… I have scheduled an appointment in Chennai location (July 1^st week) for L1A Individual Visa Stamping.

Need your feedback on the following.

1. For Visa Stamping, is there any process difference for Initial Visa Stamping Vs getting the Visa Stamping for the 797 Approval (valid till 08/2020) we already have ?
2. What is the success rate for the cases where we already have the 797 Approval notice and going for the Visa Stamping ?

99% of the time your visa will be stamped - just ensure that you do NOT prove that you are NOT a manager. Do NOT show that you are an engineer or technical lead. etc.

An Approved petition means your profile is already reviewed & you are eligible to work in USA - its just that you need to collect your visa from local embassy.

Sorry for the confusion. What i meant was, Visa Stamping for the New Petition Vs Visa Stamping for the Extension. Is there any difference in Visa Stamping or Interview process ?

No, its almost the same if you are going through interview process.

However, if you are applying for extension, you can opt-in for interview waiver program (aka dropbox) then it will be different process.

I have checked my organization immigration team and they have confirmed that i am not eligible for dropbox. Thanks for all your valuable inputs Libra_14.
