  • L1B Extension in process but I 94's admit until got updated

    Hi All,

My L1 B visa extension is in process, it been 5 months. but couple of weeks ago I checked my recent online I-94, and somehow it got updated with future admit until date. Same happened with my Wife's I 94 as well.

My attorney is saying it's CBP mistake.

    Not sure whats happening !!!

Also my USCIS case status is same from last 5 months.

Does anybody know what happening here ???

    Thanks

USCIS case status is really not up-to-date always - I personally have noticed that the status was showing Case received online & the approval notice was mailed to applicant.

When you do extension within USA, then the online I94 is not updated - mine is still showing my expired I94, but I received a new paper I94 along with my approved 797. Which means it seems a mistake at CBP side.

libra14 Thanks for replying. I am just waiting for USCIS response. Also my attorney suggested to go for premium processing before I hit 240 days. Do you know from which date they calculate 240 days ? It is VISA expiry date or date of extension filing ?

240 days is after your petition expiry date (visa expiry & I94 expiry doesn't have anything to do with it).
