  • L2 to H1 COS issue .. Plz Help.. urgent

    Hi,

My wife is in USA on L1 visa from a company X. She is on long term assignment.
Currently I have a valid L2 dependent visa.

I am planning to got to USA on L2 by Mar 2010.

I am thinking for apply for an EAD as soon as I land there.

#1 Is there any way to get EAD in lesser time?
Is there any kind of premium processing so that I can get it in lesser than 90 days?
What is average days they take?

#2 Will it be difficult to find a job with good technical & demanding knowledge in current situation?

Also I have also applied for H1B visa from company Y. I received 221g at
Mumbai Consulate to submit more documents like client letter or in-house project letter.
My employer is currently trying to arrange those documents. But they are not sure
how much time will it take to resolve that..

So I am thinking to go to USA on L2.
#1 Can I apply for COS (L2 to H1b) immediately?
#2 Or should I apply both EAD and COS (from L2 to H1B) together?
Is there any problem in applying both together?

Now there are many question coming in my mind.

#1 Since my H1B case is already pending at Mumbai Consulate.
Will there be any problem while filing the COS using i-539 form?
Do I still need to submit client letter?
#2 DO I need to mention my petitioner name while filling i-539 form?
#3 What documents do I need while filing COS? any reference?
#4 Please confirm.. If I got my status change to H1B It will not change the status of my wife (L1)

suppose I got a job on L2+EAD+SSN with employer Z
#1 Can I file COS independently? Or Do i need to inform employer Z and Y both.
#2 Will my L2 status & EAD not be valid once I get the approval from USCIS for COS(from l2 to H1B)
#3 Once I have the H1b status Is it compulsory to work on the parole of the employer Y (petitioner)
#4 Once I have the H1b status can I continue working with employer Z with the consent of employer Y?

Overall is it a good decision to go on L2 & apply for COS or EAD or both particularly in my case?
    Please suggest..
    Any help is highly appreciated.
