Early L1B extension thru consular processing - do we loose time on current visa?

Hello,

My I-129S is expiring in October 2019 and I'm going in for extension of my L1B visa through consular processing in July 2019. If the extension is approved, would my new L1B status end in July 2021 losing 3 months (Aug 2019 to Oct 2019) in my current L1B duration? Can someone who extended L1B visa through consular processing recently please answer?

It all depends on what dates are filed in your new I129. If your I129 is requested for 2 years starting Oct 2019, you'll get that date in your approval notice (no loosing 3 months).
