  • L1A Renewal - Interview availability dates in Mexico?

    Hi folks -

Has anyone booked a visa appointment in Mexico recently? What are the earliest appointments available for a L1A stamping?

My first preference was Vancouver, Canada. The visa interview wait times showed as 46 days on https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...ait-times.html. But when I actually tried to book an appointment, the first available date was about 6 months away - 11th December !

My visa expires about 2 months before that, so I need to get an earlier date.

If I am able to switch to Mexico, I see shorter wait times there. Guadalajara & Tijuana show a 1 day wait. Has anyone recently booked an appointment? What is the earliest you could get an appointment?

Thanks for all the help !

Don't worry about your expiring visa. You can continue to stay & work in USA without a visa (just need a valid I797 & I94). You can get the visa stamped whenever you go out of USA to your home country.

Earliest available date in Mexico City is in mid to late August, not sure about other consulates.
