HEllo - Does any one know if H1B to L1A coversion is possible in Mexico.

If you qualify for L1, then yes, you can get that done anywhere. Home country is preferred as per USCIS, but not a mandate.

Thanks. I am asking this as my office attorney is not suggesting to go to Mexico if there is a category conversion involved. H1B to L1A conversion.They are still allowing candidates from same category H1B extension L1B to L1A etc to go to mexico for stamping.
Not sure why it is so. There were 2-3 cases from my company who went and got approved recently. Not sure of any recent changes or office is just being little cautious.Comment

Same category extension is easy - hence they can go & get it from there.
