  • L1B to L1A amendment

I work for a product based company in the US as a product manager. I have come to the US on L1-B and I’ve filed for an amendment to L1-A as it’s a functional manager role. Now I received a RFE and the legal firm is saying that if it is rejected then I may not get L1-A ever. Is it true? My L1-B is valid till 2021.

Thats not at all true. Once rejected for a visa doesn't ban you for lifelong. If your profile changes over a period of time, you can certainly apply for the same visa again (& can get it approved as well).

However if you are lying or doing a fraud (by showing yourself as manager, while you are actually not) you risk your credibility for USCIS & probably they won't believe you the next time you apply again.

    Hope this answers your question.
