  • Dependant work status in L2 visa

    Hi All,

I have got my L1B visa stamped this month and now we are planning to apply L2 visa and then EAD for my spouse. However the nature of my work demands me to travel frequently in and out of US. So will my frequent movement in/out of the US, affect my spouse's EAD status or create any other issues in his job in the US? Please guide. This is urgent!!

No, as long as you are maintaining your L1 status. By maintaining I meant your employer should remain same, you should get paid from the same employer in USD & travelling outside USA is also for the same company only.

Remember you if stay out side USA for more than 180 days in one year - you'll loose your L1 status - others can confirm on this point please.
