  • L1B Individual stamping denied even with USCIS approved petition

    Hello Team

Need your valuable opinions regarding my case

I traveled to USA on 2015 with L1b blanket and I went for an extension on 2017 while in the US.
I got my L1b individual extension approved till 2020.

Last month I came for a vacation and attend for stamping. consular asked basic questions regarding my job, salary, work place and he issues 221g and said case is under review.
After 2 weeks I checked the statues and it was “Refused” . Later I got my passport with original I129, 1797A and 214(b) denial notice.
I’m curious why they issued 214b for L1B visa .

    Having two options.
Go for a another interview an try,
    Submit fresh L1B blanket.

Please let me know your thoughts,

    Thank you !

You are the only best person to analyze the reason yourself:

Did you got any tickets/cases/pending payments while you were in USA?

Did you misrepresented about your work, did multiple jobs (uber/lyft) etc.

      Thank you ,
I had couple of seeping tickets.but those were paid on time. No any criminal , any other charges or pending payments.
Also I haven't done any other jobs than the one offered from my company. Can they issue 214 for L1s ? Is there any possibility that this decision made by mistake ?

This is my complete story :

1st week of June Myself, spouse and my son we all went for the VISA stamping interview.
My wife is a H1B visa holder and she was there for her extension stamping too.
My son is a US citizen as he born in USA .

Myself and my wife booked separate interview appointments since we both are independent visa holders and not depend on any others VISA.
At the embassy, they recognized we as a one family and gave a priority seat since we were with the baby and asked to present together for interview.

Visa officer welcome us and started with my wife’s case.
He asked below questions from her :
          1. Where you work
          2. What are you doing (roles and responsibilities)
          3. Salary
          4. How long you are with this company
          5. How long you have been married and how you met your husband.
          6. Do you do any development activities
Then he took her finger prints and kept the passport with him and handed over all other documents back to my wife.
He went backside of the office and came back and start with me.
          1. How long you have been with the Company ? Almost 9 years ,
          2. Your Salary – XX K
          3. Where are you working – I’m working for one of client location
          4. What your client dose – explained about client business
          5. What you do at your client location – explained my duties + expertise on Company propriety tools

Then he kept my passport with him and asked me to give the finger prints by handing over all the document back, After that he went to back side and came back with new set of questions.
          1. How long you have been married – 6 years
          2. How you met her – tell the story
          3. Was she tough – J
          4. How many people working with you in this client location – 6 people Onsite and 12 from offshore,
          5. Do you have anything else to share with me – I answered No, and then I mentioned that at onsite, there was random site visit by USCIS officer.
          6. What happened with immigration officer – She verified all and told me that all good and clear. And I didn’t hear anything afterwards.

Then he went to back office again and came back, Ask both of us to handover the documents to him while issuing 221g for both. Then informed us that cases are going through administrative process and you may hear from the embassy within couple of weeks.
Couple of days later consulate asked additional details(regarding me) ( working history/salary/training/project) from my company and those were shared after 5 days.

After 2 weeks my Wife’s visa got stamped, But my case was denied under 214(B)
