L1A Extension processing time

Hi, I am on L1A visa and have applied for expention on Nov 13th 2009. Till date it shows "Initial Review". Firstly can someone tell me, how long it takes for the extension to be processed. Its more than 4 months and makes me really worried. The USCIS processing time was showing only 2.5 months.

How are the extensions going? Are people facing lot of hassel for the renewal and process?

Incase it gets rejected, can i appeal again? Also how soon should i leave the counrty?

It usually takes 2-3 months. If it is more than 3 months, then your company attorney can take an InfoPass appointment with USCIS to check the case status.

If the extension gets denied, then your company attroney can appeal if they think that the reason for denial isn't right. If the extension gets denied, then from the time of your I-94 expiry until the time you leave the country will be termed as illegal stay. So you will have to leave the country immediately if your I-94 has already expired.
