I was in US under L1A Blanket Petition from Jun 2016-May 2019. I sought extension under L1A individual in Jan 2019 and received the approval in 10 Days time period. The Form “L classification Supplement to Form 129” mentions mine is Individual Petition. However, I could locate another Form-I129S which is titled as “Non-Immigrant Petition Based on Blanket L Petition”. Per my understanding when one files an individual petition and if one has last entered the U.S. on a Blanket L petition, the Individual Petition copy must also include a reference to form I-129S.

I am planning to come to India for Visa stamping. Can I apply at any Consulate in India as my extension is under L1A Individual (will I be considered as L1A Individual Petition based applicant) or do I need to go to Chennai Consulate as there is a Reference of Form I129S in my L1A Individual petition copy?

Little confused, you should have received I797A for your extension approval? If yes, then its your "individual" extension.

Since you are not "living" in India anymore, you can apply at any consulate there.

Yes I received I797A for my Individual extension approval. Can I appear at any Consulate in India for Visa Stamping?
Just wanted to confirm when I earlier went to US on Blanket L1A will have no role as of now since my extension is on L1A Individual and I am not required to go to Chennai for the visa stamping.
