Travel during my L1 EXTENSION

I'm in L1B status for the past 2 years. My status getting expired in Mar31 and my Company is processing my extension with Premium Processing. For now I've extension processing receipt#. Let me know normally how long the processing will take and when I checked online, the service center which is processing my application will take 1 month. Do I receive my approval documents within this period or just the confirmation. I'm planning to travel outside USA as soon as I get my application Approved. Is there any issue in traveling during this time, if not what documents should I need to carry to get stamping at the consulate in my Home Country. Is it advisable to travel at this time-that is after approval?

Usually it takes 15 days by Premium Process. Not advisable to travel when the extension is in process. However, once the petition gets approved, you can travel. The extension will comes with a new I-94 which will have to be handed over at the airport when you leave (You will get a new I-94 upon return). So it is advisable to wait until you get the approval documents in hand. Also, you will need the extended petition to get an extended I-94 at the POE when you return back.
