L1 to L2 visa

I was working with Company YYYY in india and they sponsored my L1 visa which was valid upto september 2011. I travelled US for 7 months on L1 visa.My spouse was working in charlotte So I went back to india and got L2 visa stamped. My L2 visa is valid upto july 2010.
My question is
1.do I still have valid L1 visa after L2 stamping?
2. can I travel on L1 visa once my L2 visa is expired?
3. Or my employer will have to file a fresh petition for L1B visa?

>>> Check your passport to see if L1 was cancelled after the L2 stamping.

>>> Provided the L1 visa is valid and you still have the same job available.

Thanks for the reply.
I checked my passport and my L1 visa is not cancelled. And I still work for same employer. So it means that I can change my visa status from L2 to L1.
