While booking appointment for my Visa Interview I selected the Bank Of America NEFT option. However since it was outside business hours in India, I made a payment to that account number via IMPS protocol (not Mobile IMPS, regular IMPS offered by banks in India). I didn't know that we need to wait for a special receipt number activation in order to continue the application. Have I made a mistake? Is it strictly NEFT transaction type that triggers activation? I have tried manually entering the 12 digits of the account number, but it doesn't work.
I made payment on 14th August 9:30 PM IST. It has been only a couple of business hours in India since then. Should I wait longer or should I make another payment using NEFT?
