L1A petition approved, dependents extension ?

Hello,
My L1A extension has been approved and I have 2 dependents (spouse, kid) whose I539 show different status's. Both had gone for fingerprinting the same date and status's online are as follows:
Spouse I539 - Fingerprinting review was completed.
Child I539 - Case was received.

Not sure why both show different status comments. My questions?

1. Do they get separate approval notice?
2. Need to apply for my spouse's EAD, can I use my petition approval notice for that or do I need to wait for her I539 to show as approved?

We plan to go abroad in 1 month and will need to go for dropbox or stamping and hence asking, before making concrete plans.

Any guidance helpful.

Congratulations, When was ur L1 A filed ? and which Center. Also is it under Normal or PP..

If u have plans to go abroad, better to enter and get a I94 at POE. Also u can file for EAD based on the new I94.
In General L2 (539) applications are taking more time , these used to be approved concurrently earlier - These days its not happening :-(

Initial petition filed in May'19 under premium.. received rfe which was responded to in Aug'19 and approval received 15 days post rfe submission. California center.

Can we apply for L2 EAD pending I539 application processing completion? I recall that L2 EAD required primary application petition copy as key document.?

You need a valid approved petition as well to stamp visa & re-enter into USA.

Hi , My L1A application was approved more than 10 days back, but my spouse's and kid's I539 approval still not received
They plan to go to India for 2.5 months in October and I need to make tickets. From what I have read, exiting US is not an issue, but they need to have valid L2 approval to get their L2 visa stamped in India before traveling back. Is this understanding correct?

Can they travel abroad pending approval of their I539? I assume L2 /I530 approval is only a formality considering primary applicant L1 is approved or is that a wrong assumption?
