L1 A visa renewal in Mexico - Administrative processing

Hi All

I appeared for my L1A renewal (expiring in November 2019) in Guadalajara, Mexico on August 29, 2019. I was asked very general questions and the officer said he has intention to approve my visa but since I am not mexican, they need to review few additional details. he stamped my I-129S and gave a white slip which said your visa is approved and pick up from DHL location. The officer said you will get an email with few questions and reply quickly to them. I got the email a day later, I replied to all 28 questions (general) the same day. Today is Sept 8, 2019 and my case status still says Administrative processing. I am in Mexico with my husband and a 1 year old baby and stuck here. Not sure what I can do. If anyone can please share their experience that will be really helpful!

Ok, that's what I though
Last month my attorney said this - 'Mexico/Canada doesn't like adjudicating blanket petitions but if you have individual approved petition, you are good to go'

It is always risky to go to any country other than home country for stamping on blanket petitions

Hi All,

It seems this is a pretty common situation. I am here for a 5th renewal of H1B with an approved I-140. Completed finger prints on 09/18 and interview on 09/24. Infact they didn't even keep my passport. Said they will inform me once they have a decision and I can come in to drop off my passport.
