Clarification on Tax Returns for L1 visa

In my salary slip I see two parameters Social Security Tax and Medicare Tax. I know those are benefits from US government after retirement. But, I am in L1 visa and I have not yet processed Green card and I dont know if in near future that will happen or not. Also in August 2010, I am going back to India permanently and I don't know when I will come back to US again.

Am I eligible for clamining those two taxes?
