L1A COS using existing approved I 140

Hi All,

I have some questions on my current situation, please help if anyone come across
I got my H1B extension approval using approved EB 2 -I 140 of priority date June 8,2017. I came here 3 months before USA after 3 years worked as a senior management in home country.

My employer working L1A COS based on my current profile.

1. If COS status rejected, will i lose my current H1B status or can i continue with that status?
2. If COS status approved, how many years or month i may get
3. After COS status approved, If we apply I 140 under EB1, can we retain existing approved priority dates
4. If we can retain the priority dates, based on recent bulletin are we meeting to start EAD process?

I am not sure how long this process is needed or i am in confusion if it is even needed.

You can continue with H1.

L1A is for 7 years & your H1 stay will be counted in that.

3. After COS status approved, If we apply I 140 under EB1, can we retain existing approved priority dates

Yes.

4. If we can retain the priority dates, based on recent bulletin are we meeting to start EAD process?

Yes.
