L2 EAD Renewal

Hi Team, I've few questions on L2 EAD renewal process.

• I am on L1 VISA working from US location. My L1 extension has recently approved. My wife is on L2 VISA and she has EAD valid till December 01st. I would like to know if EAD renewal process can be initiated now or should wait till I get my new I797 form?
• My wife's current EAD is valid till Dec 01st. Can she work after December 01st or she can work only after EAD renewal?
• My employer filed L2 extension as well and as of now Bio-metrics has completed. Is there any interview for L2 petition approval?

You can file for renewal now or wait for some more time, but your approved 797 is required, which you can submit as part of RFE or amendment.

My wife's current EAD is valid till Dec 01st. Can she work after December 01st or she can work only after EAD renewal?

No, she cannot work on Dec 2nd onwards until she gets her EAD renewed in her hand.

No interview within USA for L2 petition renewal. Interview is only required for visa renewals.
